Its hard to take a bad shot at balloon fest unless the weather is bad. Its kind of like flowers in the air. I went to my first one, Quechee just after getting my camera.

I had my micro four thirds camera and people walking around with backpacks of heavy gear were asking me about it. Talking about how they can’t lug around so much gear any more.

Kind of reminds me of all the times I get the “you must have a really nice camera,” when people see my work. Do cheap lenses have their faults and limitations? Of course they do. But working with and around them was half the fun. And knowing that I can make a photograph that someone is willing to hang on their wall, with some of the least expensive lenses, is a bonus.
